The French christmas carol service was held on the 7th of december at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kingston , Jamaica . It was moderated by Père Francois . Guest attendees included his Excellency , Ambassador of France to Jamaica Mr./M. Denys Wibaux , French Education officer from the Ministry of Education Miss Roxanne Lovelace , Director of the Alliance Francaise , Marie-Noelle Brunot and other esteemed local and international guests (Francophiles) .

Our most esteemed guest was a representative from the Bustamante Children's Hospital who had come to receive the gifts on behalf of JAFT . The whole purpose of having the christmas carol service is in the name of giving back to these babies and children who will be away from home , family and friends . We hope our gifts will cheer them up .

The spirit of christmas was felt all through the service with the help of the angelic voices that sang beautiful christmas carols and , read scriptures and speeches recitals . The performances by the schools were thoroughly enjoyed by the audience . The performers hailed from the Manchester High school , Camperdown high school , St. George's College , Caribbean Maritime University and Excelsior High School . Un grand merci / Big thanks to the teachers who prepared their little choirs for this service .

All in all, the service was good , students had a full french ceremony and I am sure they were enlightened and exposed to handful of new vocabulary . Thanks to all who were in attendance and we hope to see you all and more next year . Joyeux Noël et Bonne année !
